IRO Customer Appreciation Day - Next Saturday! (Resending for Gmail users only)

Saturday October 4th is just around the corner and IRO Customer Appreciation Day is shaping up to be a monumental event in the annals of bicycledom.

Fans plan on attending from as far away as Antarctica and my neighbor’s outhouse.

The pig is a 100 pound beauty, ready for the spit. I’m gonna throw in some extra hams to grind up and mix in with your protein shakes.

I’m adding a barn load of grab bags to the freebie list which also includes everything from frames to forks, wheelsets to coffee mugs.

And this is big news. I’ll have prototypes of new bikes I’m designing for you to test out.

I’m making this a byoc party—bring your own chair. Because there’s no way I’ll have enough. Also, my goat will be there, so if you’d like to bring yours, I’m sure they’ll keep each other company while we play with bikes.

OK. Check out the website for directions.

We’ll see you here. Come hungry and early.

IRO Customer Appreciation Day

Having trouble reading this email? You can read our latest news on our website.

This summer, tons of you discovered IRO Cycle, hit our site, and showed us your love by ordering a bike. And we’ve been busting a nut to get the orders out on time. In fact, for a bike ordered today, current estimated build time is 8 weeks.

Thanks for your support and in some cases, your patience. Now it’s time for me to show you some love. I call it IRO Customer Appreciation Day.

On October 4th, we’re having a pig roast for anyone who comes to visit us at IRO HQ in Pennsylvania. And even better, everyone who comes gets something free. And I’m not talking advice or hugs. I’m talking frames, forks, wheelsets.

For directions and a partial list of free stuff click here. I’ll be sending out more info over the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned.

Y’all come!

A container of my most popular frames in your favorite colors are on the way. Believe it or not, the closer they get, the more the steel plate in my head starts to vibrate. Well, it’s vibrating hard.

I just got a brand new shipment of our Heidi frames--our frame designed for smaller riders (5'3" and under).

And hold on to your helmets. I also got a full load of 650cc IRO rims for Heidi in living colors. So for the first time, you can build Heidi with a staggering amount of custom hub/wheel color combinations.

Gun metal gray, pink, purple, and white rims are in. Get someone else to do the math on the possible added permutations of wheel/hub/spoke combinations you can choose. I don't have time for that.

Welcome to the New IRO Site

My old website was not pretty. I got my head around a redesign and it’s finally ready. We’ve added new features like a build-a-bike section where you can build and customize an IRO bike and see what it actually looks like before you buy it (you can even save a shot of it to email to a buddy or drool over while I’m building it). There’s also a new gallery section to upload pix of your bikes. And this news section where I can pontificate. In honor of all this hard work which is completely out of my nature, I’m offering a free T-shirt with any bike order made from the new site until midnight, May 16, 2008.

Drink beer from a coffee cup? Me?

My daughter Heidi hammered on me for a long time to build a smaller version of the Mark V to fit her. I pretty much do what I’m told, so I did..

At first I called it the Mark V HD, but then she told me I should name it after her since it was her idea. So I did that, too. And now we’re making them a permanent part of the IRO line. Build one now.

From now until May 15 2008, if you upload shots of your IRO bike to our new gallery, we’ll send you a free IRO coffee mug. All you have to do is go to the new site, click on the gallery, create a user account and then upload up to four shots and we’ll send you a free mug.
