have built and what they used to build it.

The headset is a heavy duty FSA Pig headset from a downhill bike. The stem is a threadless DEAN stem, a real trophy
from the mid-90's with some character-giving scuffs. The handlebar is a regular Nitto drop bar, the bar tape is Cinelli,
high quality Italian with a great feel. The tape is cream colored to match the IRO logo, with the slightest peppering of a
darker color. The brake levers are road style and one has a white hood and the other a black hood, very indie.
The brakes are silver road rim brakes. The cranks are matte black BMX cranks. The chain is a fat-linked "Rustbuster".
The rear freewheel is a BMX freewheel. The tires are 25C width.
This bike was built by my buddy Andres and his
friend Mike. Thanks guys. This thing is beautiful. Very fast, light, compliant ride. I use if for
commuting around Baltimore.

I love my Mark V. It has Suzue Pro Max Hubs, Vredestein slicks, Sugino XD crank, 42 T
Rocket Ring, 16 T cog, MKS pedals, Selle italia SLR saddle, Ultegra front "emergency brake" and a Tsunami Toro bar.
This bike is exactly what I want. Thanks Tony.

name: Albatros Mark V frame/fork, IRO/Velocity "deluxe" rear wheel, 14x44 gearing, Shimano 105
cranks, egg beaters, Ferrari seat, noname seatpost/stem, Nitto bullhorns, old Matrix rim/Specialized hub front wheel, 23mm
rubber in back and 28mm in front for pothole-ability.
This bike is most often seen locked up in downtown detroit while
i'm getting hassled by security guards/paralegals/etc, or up in Back Alley Bikes--a community bike shop at Cass and MLK.

The
whole thing weighs 19lb. total. The bike rides like the bike I always wanted. It handles beautifully, feels strong and reliable, and everything
fit just great with no nasty surprises when building it. I get plenty of compliments on its looks alone - even from pedestrians and SUV drivers. If only
they could ride it - so NICE.
I ride it every day for at
least 15 miles. The wheelset is fantastic too. Have been skidding and skipping and running over the occasional pothole. So far they still spin
like
butter and the rims needed no truing so far, except for the initial one. So big thank Yous to you and all the best wishes!!!

This bike is awesome. It's smooth, solid and quick. I dig it. The frame is a 53 Mark V with stock forks. It rolls on
R390 Alexrims with light weight high flange hubs and Michelin Dynamic tires. It has Sugino RD 5000 cranks with a 46 ring.
The gear on the hub is 17 that I got from you. It has a MKS chain and stock Giant pedals with cages. The seat is a Velo
plush. It has a 120mm Dimension stem and Easton MTB riser bars cut nice and narrow. It has an Aheadset. I have a Tektro
brake on the front that I try not to use but I have to say it has saved me from unexpected car doors flying open a couple
of times. That's it, nice and simple, Thanks a lot for a great frame.

I am really impressed with the ride and handling of this bike. I enjoy 44 mile commute to work on it.
I used most of the parts from another bike, mostly ultegra for brakes, brake levers and cranks. I am very
happy with this purchase.

My bike is pretty much the standerd Mark V except I replaced the handlebars with a pair of
DIY bullhorns, and put some shimano clips on there. I really enjoy this bike and ride it as often as I can.

Drivetrain: sugino 75 cranks with sugino 75 51-tooth chainring mated to a euro-asia imports 18 tooth
cog, all held together with a 1/8" wipperman track chain. The bottom bracket is a standard shimano UN71 at 110mm. It's
1mm off perfect chainline for the sugino/eai, and i've gone hundreds of miles without a problem. I have been told that
the sugino bb is an excellent match, so I may up/sidegrade to that when I have a chance/cash. The pedals are
basic HKS sylvan track pedals, with a metal clip and black leather straps.
Cockpit: nitto b123a chro-mo track drops
wrapped with cinelli cork. Forte cross lever mated to a POS no-name brake caliper in the front. No rear brake needed
or installed. All this bolted onto the fork tube by a 90mm Thomson stem (5deg rise, flipped to 5deg drop). As you
probably know, the headset is a FSA orbit. On order is a nitto b018 bullhorn handlebar. i chopped an old set of
drop bars for the home-grown bullhorn ride, and i really liked it. I figure once the nitto's get here, they'll stay on
fairly permanently.
The seat post is thomson 25.4 bmx, using a 26.0 canecreek shim. It holds a Brooks Swift (in
antique brown) rather too firmly i think sometimes (ti rails are soooo nice).
The hoops are velocity fusions, the
front is laced 3 cross to a suzue basic high-flange track hub with DT Swiss Champion straight 14-gauge black spokes, silver
nipples; the rear is laced to your (IRO's) free/fixed flip-flop hub, same DT spokes, also 3 cross. the tires are constantly
changing as I'm trying to find a set that is the best balance between speed and durability. Currently I'm running continental
ultra 3000 with a kevlar bead at 25mm width. They suck. after less than 200 miles, i've had 3 flats, all from a
piece of glass slicing through the center tread like it was butter, and they were at full recommended inflated pressure too! I've
a set of 04 All Condition Armadillos on order from specialized (at 23mm). I've had really good luck with armadillo tires
in the past on my street wheelset for my mountain bike; i'm hoping for similar luck with these. Weirdly, I prefer
the harsher, but more responsive ride from skinnier tires. If I could find a set of armadillos at 20mm, I'd probably
be running those right now.
