Hi, I'm Tony, the owner of IRO CYCLE, Inc. I have been riding bicycles as long as I can remember. Back in the mid 90’s, I started riding mountain bikes. My first real mountain bike was a Cannonade F400. I beat the hell out of that on the trails in Rocky Point, New York.

In February of 1998, I moved to Staten Island, New York where I still reside. My riding time was suffering because there are no trails for bicycle riding. Commuting to and from Manhattan five days a week was making it impossible to find time to ride.

In March of 1998, I decided to start commuting by bicycle to work. Seven miles to the Staten Island Ferry another five miles uptown wasn't so bad. I got tired of the whole gear, shifting, adjusting thing. I started building and riding fixed gear and single speeds. I only ride fixed gear and single speed bikes now. I ride everywhere I can, give me a reason to ride and I will.

It seems a lot of people have lost sight of the single speed idea.  An inexpensive bicycle that would still give you the thrill of riding and is easy to maintain. The less it costs to build the more money for other things, right? Well I got tired of trying to find single speed and fixed gear products at the right prices, so in October 2002 I started IRO CYCLE.
