My Jamie Roy had seen its better days. Its finish was wearing thin, a lot of road chips and marks where I chained the bike to a pole. Dropped it just a few times. Chainring worn, bars scraped up....You get the idea.
It time for a rebuild. I thought I would start all over and bring it back to its glory. I also thought I would track the build online so you all can follow me and if you had any input you could help me out. I will be redoing the frame in its original white finish but this time with black components.

The frame and fork are back from the powder coater, new decals, and the headset installed.
I was able to setup the frame with parts I had taken off other projects in the past. The Crankset is a Hollowtech Shimano Black 105 with a 42 and a 39 tooth ring. The reason for the two rings is I plan to make this a two speed bike. 42/16 for cruising and a 39/18 for tugging the trailer with the 2 boys in the back. Headset is a Chris King, the stem is a Ritchey PRO, handlebars are also Ritchey, WCS single grove 44cm wide. Bottle cages are carbon and the seatpost is one of mine. |
The wheelset is complete. IRO Black 32 hole hubs laced 1X front 3X rear to Velocity Fusions rims. Michelin Axial Pro 700X25C tires will be the contact patch for the road.

I am still waiting for some parts to come in. I am waiting for my ENO Dual Freewheel. 16/18 tooth. I couldn't stand waiting for the freewheel so I put on a 16 tooth freewheel for testing. It rides like a dream.
I have added a Brooks Conquest Saddle, bar tape, KMC 610 chain, a set of temporary pedals and some Planet Bike Fenders.
